They EXPECT trash and mediocrity.But they DO NOT wish for Pokemon Games to be crappy and they don't revel in seeing their low expectations being met.
They are pessimists, they have low expectations of Gamefreak and view themselves as 'realists'
ON THE OTHER HAND

They actively hope for the games to be good, expect for them to be good and some are just happy with whatever Gamefreak might put in front of them.
I personally would be in the camp of groudonfags. I hope the next mainline game is exceptional but I expect a continuing decline of the series.
