So today I bought a copy of Pokémon Red and managed to find my old Game Boy Pocket, and god damn, how did we ever do this as kids?
After about twenty minutes of playing, my thumb is aching like hell. I remember playing this for hours at a time with no problems. Are children just immune to carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive strain injury?
Not to mention the pacing is pretty slow. I hate to play the "then-vs-now" card, but I can't imagine too many kids these days training their Pokémon and running from battles like this. Are the new games faster, or have they remained mostly the same?
Jesus my thumb hurts.
