>Priority is treated as a psuedo-plus 1 speed for that turn rather than "automatically go first no matter what".
People argue that this would just make boosting sweepers unfair instead, but priority is far more imbalanced. It requires no turns for setup and allows the user to invest fully in other stats besides speed, giving way to such obscenely ubiquitous users such as Aegislash and Azumarill who refuse to die despite repeated abuse yet can hit with the force of a chainsaw-encrusted nuclear warhead, and always do so first. While things like Talonflame would be virtually unaffected, Pranksters and slow, bulky priority spammers would need to invest in Speed to maintain their omnipotence.
>Stealth Rock now ignores the type chart and is treated as a single layer of spikes that is not dodged by flying types or Levitate.
It could also pop the Air Balloon on entry.
>Poison reduces the sufferer's Special Attack, a la Burn.
People have been wanting this for some time now.
>Taunt becomes a priority move, and cannot be blocked by Protect.
Seeing as people will run choice sets with status moves, it's clear that they're too powerful. However, Prankster can cripple even Taunters, making it insufficient at its job. This would quicken the pace of most games while not inherently overpowering or ruining any pokemon.
