And if you're going to talk about the lobby feature making it more accessible, then it's fair to extend this into SM being the stronger titles since they expanded on this. The only real differentiation you can make with regards to online play is the metagame at the time, which was warped entirely by a select few Megas since Fairies took out a lot of the previous generation's dragon sweepers (or, for shit like Mega Mawile, just killed everything itself).
