Obviously there is no endgame where you marry Carmine, no. But there's several characters that clearly tangent the fine line between friendship and romantic interest. It's more obvious with Kieran and Arven imo, but Carmine and Nemona also have some lines that suggest they want more than just friendship. It's held ambiguous on purpose so 1) the player can still choose for themselves who they like the most without having to actually make a decision and 2) so they don't risk having to bump up the age ratings
