Hello /pmg/,
Tomorrow marks the start of July which means we are halfway through 2023. To mark this occasion I have spent way more time than is healthy running a meta-analysis of the last 25 weeks of charts (I missed one week due to personal issues and can't be assed to find the data for it in the archives).
In total between January 2nd and June 26:
>307 different non-eggmon pairs were used
>11,401 sync pairs appeared on charts
In addition to more basic math stuff (total usages, average usages, etc...) I've done some analysis on the following categories :
>Pairs that appeared on all 25 weeks
>Paris that appeared on only a single week
>Pairs that 'won' the most number of charts (to 'win' a chart means to have the top usage or be tied for the top usage that week)
>Pairs that were only ever used in singleton (ie: pairs that only ever had a usage rate of '1' every week that they appeared)
>Pairs that were never used in singleton (ie: pairs that always had a >1 usage rate when they appeared).
I thought it might be fun to try and predict things like relative size of categories (did more pairs get used all 25 weeks or did more pairs only show up once over the course of 25 weeks? Were more pairs singleton or never singleton?) as well as overall winners for each category (Which pair 'won' the most weeks? Which pair had the highest overall usage in total? Which pair had the highest single usage? Which pair had the highest average usage? Etc...).
I was hoping to put together a 'mega chart' to display all this data for tomorrow but it seems like I am going to have a busy weekend. I will try to get it all put together but it may take some time.
(Also I got fucked rolling for Jirachi. Currently out of gems at 363 scout points so I won't be able to get Liza to go with Tate. IDGAF about Galar so after this it's saving until anniversary).
