>>20888796I use him in Doubles, does really well.
Usually have him paired beside Mega Aggron or Aegislash, who can easily take his Boomburst. I think his set is something like Draco Meteor/Boomburst/Protect/U-Turn. Forgot what his EVs are, but probably maxed SpA, high Speed, and some in HP or Def or something.
Anyway. Surprisingly useful: Shuckle. Wanted to use him as a joke at first, but found him to be a god in Doubles and Triples, even against Ubers. Among many strategies, one I quite like is Guard Splitting with allies, making even fast sweepers much bulkier. After using him, he's become my favorite Pokémon.
Signature set:
Pavise (Shuckle) @ Sitrus Berry (Leftovers works too)
Nature: Impish
31/0/31/0/31/31
252 HP, 252 SpDef, 4 Def
- Sticky Web
- Power Split
- Guard Split
- Rock Slide
Basically, he can use Sticky Web either from the start or once other necessities are taken care of. Power Split is for nerfing opponents' biggest powerhouses, effectively halving their stats, and allowing Rock Slide to do something. Guard Split allows him to make an ally sweeper much bulkier, or make Blissey nigh-invincible. And finally Rock Slide, saving him from Taunt, and to do a little damage after Power Splitting.
Can't make usable: Sandslash. 5th gen was a glorious time for my bro, as he seemed to do Excadrill's job better (in my team, at least) and with a bonus in Rapid Spin. But now, with the weather nerf, Sandslash is just a sitting duck out of the sand, waiting for a special attacker to take him out with ease.
