To this day I’m still in awe at how good some of the Gen 3 designs and how they hit the perfect balance with simplicity and detail. I do hate Gen 3 in a way because every time I think about it, I want to do fanart/buy toys of the hoenn mons but I’ve otherwise checked out of the series completely. And my art is dogshit lol. So it just reminds me of a time of naive optimism in my life
I do wish we got Gen 3 remakes that were actually on par with Gen 5 or Gen 4’s level of game quality. Hoenn is the best region but it needed a little more graphical oomph.
