I'm not an anime watcher and I don't remember much of anything from this period of time, but I must confess, something about Kanto, Orange, Johto feels kind of cool in comparison to later seasons. Like even Hoenn. It's a different vibe. I'm not trying to nostalgia trip or anything like that. Just saying, there's something kinda hard about these earlier installments.
