I could mitigate that with some skills, but I still dislike being in water. I could Surf or ride around in boats, but I'd still get in contact with water sooner or later.
Sinnoh, however, is a cool region. I love it's mons, I like hiking, and I wouldn't mind going back and forth around mt. coronet. Also has one of the best towns out there: Floroma.

The whole thing about waking up in a new world for me is having to start from 0. Having previous knowledge or history kind of voids the reasons why I would opt to go there. I'll still keep my memories anyway, so drop-in I go.
>>33022781Eevee. Don't really have a preference for 'mon. A starter isn't supposed to be exactly strong anyway. Eevee is a good companion in any case, being loyal, cute and cuddly, and having great potential with it's evos, were I to go that route.
>>33022786Pokeglot would be the only think I'll take of that. Really, being able to communicate directly with what makes up most of the world's nature will help me a lot along the way. Not only to keep the bonds between my team members optimal, but also to gather intel, and other such shenanigans. Technician would also be nice to have with this, but my previous experience in this world already gives me a bit of a boost with that, and I can just learn how shit works when I get there. I have freaking 10 years to do that, anyway.
