>>18092229I don't like the way you talk but you're right, there's not much art of Pokemon on earlier times. The only thing I can think of is there's at least some mention of them before Pokeballs. In the Lucario movie there was a medieval theme war going on (probably where the OP pic came from) and then there's the spin-off game, Pokemon Conquest that's set in the samurai age. So there's that.
Also I don't know about the others, but I personally like looking for these pictures on Danbooru/Gelbooru for Japanese art and sometimes Deviantart for more of a western taste. Given that DeviantArt is full of teenagers and autists, but occasionally miracles happen and there's at least a few decent artists.
