The Battle Maison trainers always somehow know exactly what's going to happen in the match before it even starts and thus carry a perfect counter to whatever you end up having as your final Pokemon. I usually leave Talonflame last in Rotations for late-game Choice Band boosted priority Brave Bird sweeping. It has saved me multiple times but I really feel sorry for Talonflame because he also ends up in some absolute shitty situations when the game decides it's not going to lose no matter what. Oh well, here's a compilation of my losses with none of them being a fair loss. I'm seriously thinking of just giving up.
First loss in singles:
>My Greninja vs. Steelix
>Quick Claw allowed Steelix to move first: EQ
>"Okay, Garchomp should take care of this"
>Quick Claw: Explosion
>Garchomp fainted
>"Well, hopefully Talonflame can take care of th..."
>Bastiodon
>are_you_fucking_kidding_me.jpg
Second loss in singles:
>Talonflame is KO'd, Greninja vs. opposing Crobat
>Crobat outspeeds and flinches Greninja to death with Air Slash
>Send out Garchomp
>Crobat outspeeds and flinches Garchomp to death with Air Slash
>I could't land a single move against that Crobat because Greninja and Garchomp flinched a total of 7 times in a row
>There's a ~0,02% probability of this happening
>Zero. Point. Zero. Fucking. Two. Percent.
>If you tried this against an opponent 10 000 times, you'd succeed only twice
Last loss in Rotations:
>Three of my Pokemon are KO'd, Talonflame is at full health
>Opponent has Weavile at full health and some other Poke with around 5% health left
>"This will be easy, Brave Bird will OHKO both since Weavile has paper thin defenses"
>Brave Bird against Weavile
>Sash
>Ice Punch
>Doesn't KO
>Freezes
>...
>"Why?"
Needless to say, I don't really have much interest in Battle Maison anymore. Why in the name of fuck does GF keep doing this? Is it that difficult to make a battle facility where the game doesn't cheat? Is this what they consider fun? What the hell?
