>>55713932In recent years, it feels like there's been an exponential sharp upswing of people who are so unironically schizophrenic that character ages are basically god to them, even though by virtue of being fictional "people" you can assign basically any random number you want.
It's really fucking jarring too, on one side of the fence you'll see someone that has the hots for a character that visually looks like an adult, then they'll see some age between 15-17 and then immediately lose all interest, then on the other side of the fence you'll see some vaguely loli-ish character like Tatsumaki who's in their 20's and then that respective person starts shitting their pants too. It kind of reads like "fake horny" behavior, as in someone that's desperately trying to make some kind of "brand" out of what characters they're attracted to in order to fit into whatever social group they've attached themselves to, rather than actually getting a hardon for the actual fucking CHARACTER.
Genuinely, I don't remember this sort of thing being this bad around 10 years ago, nowadays it feels like people are so disconnected from reality that they've forgotten what "fiction" really means.
