Incineroar/Decidueye/Primarina are definitely one of the better starter trios in pokemon
gen 6 really isn't that bad. they're kind of boring but they also have a certain charm to them that allows me to replay them once or twice
Incineroar/Chesnaught/Samurott are the most well-designed starters in the last three gens
Kanto is a really boring region. Like, Johto, even though I dislike it, had its comfy moments, but Kanto is just bland and really not fun at all
