I've never taken a real "art class". I've gone to an art instructor, but I've never like, been taught anything other than tips 'n' tricks.
As a kid, I copied everything. Basically, I copied stuff so much that I just kind of "got the hang of it" enough to kind of sorta know what I'm doing.

It's like riding a bike or rollerblading; you do it enough times to where you look back and say "huh, I guess I figured it out" and then keep advancing
