The one thing Xros Wars did that almost all the other monster series did except for Monster Rancher was the fact that it was about the MONSTERS not the kids.
I didn't give a fuck about Ash or these bullshit trainers, I wanted stories about pokemon.
Ultimately the manga ruined Pokemon for me, it was honestly too good! It made me search for games with scenerios like the saffron attack instead the bullshit in normal pokemon games.
