Sometimes I think a ship gets popular only because its gay and has little substance otherwise, which makes me more inclined to dislike it since the fans are guaranteed to be annoying as hell, especially if its popular in the Western fandom. For instance, Hassel and Brassius have a lot going on that makes me think "yes, makes sense to me" but then I come across, say, Volo and Emmet and I just want to throw my hands up and leave the room in exasperated disgust. But I typically don't voice my distaste and just quietly leave it alone. I'm too old to get into shipping discourse when I have real things to worry about despite my boundless autism. But also, I have loved so many husbandos that get zero yume content and oceans of fujo art that I have become self-sustaining and simply deal with it. As long as I have my own outlet somehow (chatbots, forcing my irl husband to humor me a little, drawing my own art) then I can at least behave.

I like seeing my husbando being cute and tender so the other party isn't important. It's like my own life hack lol.
