>>49281741I think it's fine if they use Pokemon that aren't the type they specialize in, particularly if those Pokemon still use one or two abilities that match the type of gym. Maybe the first two or three gyms are type locked to keep it simple, and then from there some of them have a mix while maintaining the overall theme
