AR+ features are a fucking joke, and only get used occasionally in order to shave 1.5 seconds off of the catch time of pokemon during spam spawn events, but even then it's not worth the hassle of pointing my phone everywhere like a retard. They never even properly implemented their vision of using the AR interface to find nearby pokemon, since the overworld map is 100× better than their greatest, most ideal concept of the feature. When I completed my Celebi research, I ignored the spawn for several days because I couldn't stand the forced AR+ catch instance.
