A means to influence the effect stack that resolves every turn; not like in a way attributed to skills like Trick Room, but more skin to MTG interrupts or Yugioh handtraps: these can take any flavor form (i.e. trainers performing an action, pokemon exerting themselves on command, etc.), but they'd need to do things like boost upcoming moves during the next turn, affect statuses or priority, or possibly allow for a sort of "double turn." Ideally these instant effects would not consume move slots, have effects aligned with certain moves or types, and be balanced with limited uses per battle.
