Watching the fabled Japanese version after so long was amusing, if only because all the things it was praised for being thoughtful more don't change anything about the movie. Cool to see Mewtwo take the Pokemon world even MORE thoroughly to task, but the questions go just as unanswered (though that is still the point, really). But Ichimura is close to what I always envision Mewtwo sounding like; a touch of menace but also confused, and a touch of a growl with the voice filter.

>>47914530Giratina and Zoroark have some nice set pieces and are lead by an amusing cute Pokemon. Arceus... feels like the KING of how consistently these movies bungle themselves. Fun ideas on paper, foiled up by stiff godly battles and spending half the movie on dull exposition before actually getting to the good part. Its almost Mewtwo in reverse that way.
