First time doing a run of gen 1 and it made me realise how tedious it is. I feel like I need to go back and heal after every battle with annoying things like poison, confusion and wrap. Everything also has a shit moveset and I overly focused on Kyushu and Borneo, so when they were close to the level cap I had to try and train up the others which made things painful. Overall a lot more difficult than I anticipated.
Need to keep track of items a lot more than I thought I would, Pico the Spearow died to poison because I ran out of healing items and was between Cerulean and Vermilion so ages between either Pokemon center. And then Bolivia the Drowzee died right after it got confusion and became useful against all the poison types. That and killing a few encounters by accident has limited me to quite a few Pokemon. Hopefully things go a bit better on the way to the fourth gym.
