>>55477182Shiren's a lot more story-light, the closest thing is Shiren 2 which clearly set the groundwork for a lot of PMD stories since it's pretty similar in structure to PMD stories and one of the characters is basically a proto-version of the Explorers partner, complete with a scene at the start where they're bullied by two monsters.
Anyway Shiren 6 already sold super well in Japan so I doubt they care about western sales at this point. It's possible they've been working on a PMD while working on Shiren 6 since they've developed MD games at the same time before, but it's more likely we'll have to wait a bit longer before a new PMD.
