Wow, I wasn't expecting Latias to have another meaningful role until the end. That's really exciting that we'll see her get more involved with Ash next week. Wonder if there'll be any hints she remembers him from Heroes, or if it will feel more like she's still different and just appreciative of this random human boy she's suddenly smitten with like the first Latias was.
Holding onto hope we get more obvious references or flashbacks to Heroes between the two though. :3
After all, if they weren't acknowledging Heroes, Ash would have no idea what a Latias was unless someone told him about them or he used the Internet. Does the Internet even exist in Pokemon? I know they have video phones. Ash always points a Pokedex at anything he hasn't personally seen before as if he had no other way of learning about them ahead of time... so at the very least I think Ash himself thinks it's movie 5 Latias currently.
Hmmm... what to do with a Latias on Valentine's Day? Oooh, imagine going through a tunnel of love but instead of swanboats, it's expressly for humans who have birdplane lovers to gently cuddle as they push you through the water in the tunnel. X3
