Campaignshitters see it, think "oh, this is 6v6 singles, just like the campaign I played! And it has a convenient tier ranking system! That means I don't need to actually play multiplayer and I can stare at the tiers to pretend I'm knowledgeable about the game!" and then they proceed to spam fucking terrible takes like "Psychic is bad" and "this Pokemon has high defensive stats so that must mean I need to use it defensively" and "they need to give Ice more resistances and frostbite"
