These are objectively the worst starter finales. I say this as a fan of a few of these myself. Here's why in no particular order:
>Samurott
Abandons origin, going from ninja otter to samurai sea lion abruptly. Visual design is jarring from first stages, seeming unrelated. More themed on blade user, but new body structure is nonsensical as one. Body lacks tone and proportions are impractical. Scrawny neck, massive oblong helmet. Blatantly masculine when starters should be gender neutral. Signature move and theme are physical, but stats make it special attacker.
>Chesnaught
Design is overly messy with many details lacking purpose, while the limbs lack definition. The nose is detached from the face, and unlike any animal it is influenced by it has no ears. The color scheme greatly detaches it from previous stages. It also has a heavily male influence, featuring a prominent beard. It also comes too close to wearing 'clothing'.
>Delphox
No obvious passion in design and confused inspiration. Ear hair is bizarre and ugly, while all possible body detail is masked by very basic, full body 'fur dress'. Heavy feminine influence, based on Braixen's sway, despite starters being mostly male. Also abandons quadrupedal origins, though the middle stage did this first.
>Empoleon
Inspired by far too many different things, it has combined a penguin, Napoleon, a torpedo/submarine, and Poseidon/Neptune. Detail is everywhere, sometimes nonsensical while other times far too 'perfect' to not just be clothing.
