>>50563028I'm mostly worried that, by the time I do get to rank 20, my 2019-20 GL, UL and ML picks will be too niche or outclassed to be good enough to get 3/5 without tanking. I haven't used anything in Great League besides Jellicent, Galvantula, Registeel, Meganium, and Altaria.
>>50563142>Having to give specific types overpowered movesets just to contest with top-tier tyrantsI wish they'd do that with the more attack-weighted Pokémon that don't get much farther than GL or UL. It feels really bad that useless Pokémon that normally succeed because of their speed, multi-hit moves or priority moves like Persian, Fearow, Delcatty, Ambipom, Purugly, Liepard, Cinccino, etc., even though you would think that the moves they learn (Fury Swipes, Fake Out, Fury Attack, Double Hit, etc.) would be ideal for powerful fast moves or quick charge moves.
If those moves were given broken stats, they could rival Pokémon that succeed based on sheer bulky stats while still getting put in their place by Counter-users, and if not those then ghost, rock and steel-types. Plus, I bet it would get a whole lot more women interested in GBL since they could use more adorable Pokémon rather than stuff like Sableye, Araquanid, Lickitung, Galarian Stunfisk and Registeel.
Anyway, I used the raid pass and managed to go 5/5, so I guess it was worth it for an additional 15k stardust. I wouldn't be surprised if the opponents were intended to be more difficult, though. A lot of bizarre, hard-for-my-team-to-deal-with trainers were brought against me, including a rank 14 against my rank 10. Not sure how many more sets I will do/be able to do today.
