You weren't spending $50 for a mew (with a free controller), you were spending $50 on a controller and getting a free mew to say thanks for spending fifty fucking dollars on a joy-con, shaped like a pokéball. I don't care if you bought the ball and threw it in the bin after getting your mew, that's on you. That wasn't the intent, as evidenced by Nintendo sacking up and putting a Joy-Con in a pokéball, instead of TPC making a shitty pedometer to include in the box again.
Ypur greatest failure is looking at this shit with (You) as primary market. Primary market is 7 year olds and there was a fuckload of them delighted to nab a pokéball and feel like Ash walking about with their pokémon (with mew just the bonus, because they wouldn't know what the fuck a mew is).
