Uranium shill anon here. I dipped for Detergent because one time through Torren was more than enough for me, but glad to see you lot playing Realidea now. It's pretty damn solid. Good starters, good region design, excellent tilesets, and passable story with, as you've already seen, some decent character designs. If the latest version has indeed improved the translation, I may just have to play through the game again.
>>54695611They also have a unique comment for every bin in the game. Realidea's protag. actually has some personality of their own outside of just being a player insert, which is something I quite enjoy. Helps that they're swag as fuck.
>>54695627Xenoverse tries a bit too hard to memberberry and coattail ride in order to make absolutely sure that you as a Pokemon fan will like it, which can make it feel a bit insincere at times. Realidea by contrast isn't afraid to be quirky and even a bit dumb - it's very earnest despite being probably one of the most tonally lighthearted fan games out there.
>>54695694Opalo isn't viscerally excruciating I suppose, but the shitty worldbuilding and bland region design meant that it failed to hold my interest.
>>54695720The battle backgrounds are amazing (pic related. Incidentally this background is only used for a single fight in the entire game).
>>54696086The creator has pretty good taste in music. The soundtrack feels reasonably coherent despite being drawn from different sources.
