>>41704695It was extremely touch and go for a moment. At first it looked like Shuck&Jive was going to Hombone Hombone Hombone Yeah all over Raikou and that there was nothing to worry about. Then Wattson started spamming hyper potions like a turbofag (seems like Gym Leaders get 5 of them instead of 2) and Raikou realized he could bite the crap out of Shuck instead of trying and failing to Roar him away or attempting fruitlessly to Quick Attack it to death. After that I made a risky move and switched over to Kingston who ate a Bite but thanks to leftovers he had just enough life to get a Smokescreen off without too much danger.
After that I brought out Take Off Every and repeated with Sand Attack and then threw out Where's An Egg hoping it could tank at worst and try to get an eruption off. Turns out eruption doesn't do shit to Raikou so I switched over to a regimen of Egg Bombs and hoping I don't miss.
After that it was a dangerous war of attrition as I used Softboiled and Wattson burned through the rest of his potions. If either one of us crit with Bite in his case or Egg Bomb in my case it was basically over. I also got paralyzed by thundershock near the end and risked getting fucked over by losing a turn on a potentially crucial Soft Boiled. Thankfully he missed so it didn't result in an untimely demise.
In the end it worked out and that bitch finally died to a crit egg bomb.
My ass was clenched for that entire sequence and then I realized Where's An Egg had Shell Armor so I didn't need to worry outside of the potential for horrific paralysis/flinch luck.
