>>52629765I'm gonna out myself as a bit of a hypocrite and say that there are plenty of modern pokemon that I like (I did start with Gen 4) and I still think Pokemon are better off not having a gazillion rules about what they can be based on. However, they should have some rules and alot of new ones feel messy and not fully thought out.
I think they can still do good to interesting designs though, especially with Sugimori as art director.
