>>48164967Just to give myself a list of my captures - Slakoth, Makuhita, Nosepass, Electrike, Torkoal, Solrock, Swablu, and Horsea/Seadra. Not actually a bad selection all things considered. Seems mostly weak to Water/Ground so I pick Torchic so May gets Mudkip.
I go and get Norman the Slakoth from Petalburg Woods then begin the painstaking process of grinding it so I can get past the Grunt in the forest, then once I reach Rustboro I give myself the Makuhita. Even with its bad stats, new member Brawly is more than enough to take on Roxanne singlehandedly and win.
Not quite sure how I'll handle Brawly, but I can at least go get Electrike.
