On topic, I find it amusing that Smogon continues to ban new things for being "oppressive" or "unskilled". One of the largest arguments against the way that Smogon handles bans is the ban creep, where Smogon bans X, the whole community declares the game balanced and shits on anyone who says otherwise, then after a couple of weeks Y is oppressive, so they push to ban Y, they ban Y, then the community declares the game balanced and shits on anyone who says otherwise, then after a few weeks Z is oppressive, they ban Z... This gen we are seeing it in full force, the slippery slope may be a fallacious argument, but we are currently observing one in progress.
