>better whatever we got beforeNo, I believe I judged it fairly. The setup of Team Flare, especially the Mega specials, were great. The post-League finale was botched.
Previous villainous arcs were smaller in scale, but had memorable characters and interactions. Lugia arc brought us back Cassidy & Butch and introduced Dr. Namba. Galactic / Hunter J arc is praised enough as it is. And while Plasma was botched, BW had given us a great Team Rocket Meloetta arc, with Giovanni finally confronting Ash, the TRio actually being useful, Team Rocket realizing they were right to consider Ash's Pikachu special, Cynthia's return, even Rocket Grunts being cooler than usual.
So comparing the finale episodes, I liked Meloetta much more. Flare has one thing other arcs do not have - a long establishing story. Classic Plasma could have had that, if not for the Earthquake / B2W2 rewrite.
