But I feel FRLG are incredibly underrated. The atmosphere of the Sevii Islands is unmatched, it really felt like you were crawling through some distant wild island somewhere. Once you left the small island villages, you were on your own.
I admit I wish they did more with the mysterious ruins, but they were still cool.
I'll defend FRLG til the day I die, fuck the KANTOOOOOOOO meme, he region is genuinely great. Fuck the pandering though, I agree with the hatred of that. Can't help but avoid using Charizard every time I can, just because it's been forced in my fucking face.
