>>41758072>That still happens. It's just that this is Pokemon, and the majority of people who play it have no standards.Exactly this. Yet it's not just those in the past, even these people complaining now are not the people that are the pinnacle of standards either. Yet that doesn't even need to be the case. If their outrage was at least slightly some rationale and at least showed proper priority in their concerns they would at least at the very minimum legitimize their concerns. Yet that's not the case.
Regardless in the past they hated people like me who brought up the concept of pokemon needing to streamline their concepts. Was told to fuck off and mainly because of the reasons about "development freedom" and "not true fan".
Gen 1 introduces a pokemon that not only follows you but also speaks like pokemon should instead of the "crying". This shit gets culled for years and the company hesitantly introduces it.
Gen 2 introduces baby pokemon due to breeding. As well as other evolutions for gen I pokemon and/or variant. Since it's not streamlined it's all over the place and it literally gets neglected in the following entries.
I could go with concepts like rival pokemon and their upgrades but it was never truly popular so I don't even wanna brother there.
This shit about content being added, ignored, culled, etc has already been the norm because by gen III there is no real backlash about this and demand for them. In fact people accept the reasoning behind, "muh system limitation". The take away shouldn't have been ok. It should have been then at least make 1 pokemon be capable of that per gen adding it and trying to make it the norm desiring that standards then and making standards the norm in today pokemon.
Can't demand standards now when year after year it was okay to have this low quality be the norm and en masse the fans supported pokemon Go instead of distancing themselves and then getting Let's Go which are way bigger offenders when it comes to the "dex".
