Going from paper to tablet is frustrating but you can work through it.
If you just want to do line work use the stabiliser. With default settings, H key will flip your canvass, delete is one of the rotate hotkeys.
Here's a super lazy crap trace over I did with the pen tool, no clean up on the edges or undoing lines.
