>>36086771I love Pokemon and the idea of Pokemon, I've made a lot of friends through the series and have plenty of great memories with it as well due to growing up with it.
It's because I love Pokemon that I'm so critical of Gamefreak, they have everything they need to turn Pokemon into something amazing, yet do nothing with all their money. The fact that people continue to defend these trashfire games disgusts me. I'll literally always be a fan of Pokemon, but when it comes to the games I'm taking a step back.
For a while, I was worried I outgrew Pokemon, but I've put like 900 hours into Splatoon 2 now, it's not that I've gotten older, it's that I have standards for my games now and Gamefreak's flaws have all come to light. If Pokemon were handled by another software dev I'd be extremely happy.
