Flareon is the most useful example because it's the only one where he went balls to the walls changing, and considering I never plan on using Flareon in the first place I'd say that's irrelevant to me.
The purpose of the hack feels like "what if this was the final game in the series, and a true sequel to Gen 1?" as a closed off experience.
