Z-Forests curse is +1 to all stats for a bulkier, though weaker, mixed alternative. It's also the forest Pokémon so, themes.
Hidden ability I struggled with, I went for suction cups because geckos, and Sceptile traditionally had success as a sub seeder, which this would be great for. It may have too many boosting options for this to be balanced but it's also mono grass, so...
The alternative was Harvest which would compliment it's sun sets nicely and also support subseeding.
Finally, I gave it enough speed for some of the new threats like Naganadel but I didn't see the need to go any higher as Sceptile needs the stats elsewhere.
