Dragonite is my second best attacker behind Vaporeon, I use it when I can't be bothered playing properly and just spam the screen. It's pretty decent vs Snorlax too since it has no counters other than blast the living shit out of it
Anyway, I prefer to chuck shitmons in Gyms that aren't useful for attacking, pic related (that Kingler has been in a gym for months)
