Now Psychic is more horrible than ever, on the polar opposite of what it was in gen 1. Psychic typing makes anything with it worse, as fairy is essentially the same thing but better, boasting better special and physical STABs (Moonblast and Play Rough as opposed to Psychic/Psyshock and Zen Headbutt/Psycho Cut), no crippling weakness to the ridiculously buffed Knock Off that everything and their mother carries now, and not being weak in general to what are now very common types, at least as coverage moves.
It needs a new resistance and another type that it's super effective against. Fairy made Psychic completely irrelevant.
