Megas are only for the competitive minority to use, and just LOOK flashy for casuals, literally just a gimmick by definition for 90% of players who aren't the outlier autists who hang out here. Fairy also wasn't really necessary to rebalance the types and definitely isn't balanced itself, they just pussed out on touching most other types. Its also easy to make more original mon designs when there aren't 150 to pump out I'll give you that, but again that makes it alot easier too. Sky battles were shit nuff said, while pss and amie are more quality of life improvements than the actual meat of the game. Also for a 3d game it was still made with grid based movement in mind while the rollerblades were a lazy half measure.
The game also literally takes the linearity of unova but treats you like a moron by making you go in pointless figure eights around kalos to give you the illusion of freedom, and yet it also has little no ground to cover post game compared to the fantasy hamburger land.
