Fortunately, Venusaur's limited direct offensive options (most resort to Grass STAB + HP/Sludge Bomb/Erfquake) make it rely on stuff like Toxic and Leech Seed, sometimes with Substitute and Synthesis for extra unkillability.
Try Reuniculus, OP. Specially bulky with an excellent counter-ability in Magic Guard. It also has access to Recover, and it absolutely destroys in Trick Room (which it learns).
