I personally think it'd be strange to go with literally just Tohoku since Kanto and Johto cover more than one region of Japan iirc, but coming up with another goofy name for the area might be silly. Outside of that the concept sounds pretty neat, although I'm curious if they're supposed to also be someone who lived in antiquity or if you're just using a historical profession for the character.
