You're very right. I was just at the atom bomb exhibition in Chicago and it's pretty incredible how even invisible-to-us tiny particles left after the explosion can mean our doom just as much as a gigantic explosion.
Also, everyone and everything really is not amounting to anything (I would use the word "worthless" but it obviously has negative connotations), but that's why we all should do what makes us and others feel good in the meantime.
