>staraptor to ranger felicia's lopunny crit hjk on switch on route 227
>breloom as a sack to jupiter
>beedrill to the last ace trainer double battle in stark mountain (all the double battles can be singles)
>garchomp to cynthia's rayquaza
beedrill was a dumb loss, but overall clean postgame. it got a substantial buff and bug/poison turned out to be a very useful type for most of the run. very underrated pokemon even in the vanilla games
stark mountain was victory road part 2 and i probably switched my team up literally 10 times, but ace trainers are always hard to predict. i wanted to see what buck could do, so on my last 2 trainers i went into the skylar/natasha battle as a double battle. shocker, he's fucking useless. i could've lost multiple pokemon to a goddamn fucking medicham because his claydol sat on its ass spamming calm mind until he used ice beam for some reason and died, then his cloyster and torkoal did jack shit and got two shot
e4 level cap was 87 and i had no spore this time, but it wasn't really necessary. houndoom baited hippo to eq, then togekiss encored it to sweep bertha, scizor set up on lucian, and garchomp swept the rest until i had to sack it in case rayquaza ddanced and had espeed, which apparently it didn't. the rest of the team were backups in case shit went very poorly. may garchomp rest in peace
all in all, i think it went pretty well except for that messy as fuck early game. gyarados and crobat would've been extremely useful and most of my mons got shitty natures and abilities. i also could've manipulated for better encounters like milotic but w/e. the real mvps that saved this run were garchomp, choice items, spore, and encore + sub
