>>22980954At least Fairy feels like an idea GameFreak would realistically come up with. We had an egg group and pokemon species named after this type for years. And the matchups(outside of the stupid Bug resist) connects with the traditional fairy lore very well. They probably had this type under works but needed more reasons to implement it to the series.
