>>17922804>[Boy and Mareep Rescue Kid Stuck in a Well!]Says the headline of Politoed's extremely outdated newspaper.
"Looks like your newspaper's also from fifty years ago. What's up with that?"
The frog lets out a low croak, "I dearly enjoy reading the newspaper, but the last time it was ever truly published was fifty grueling years ago. To keep my personal tradition strong, I've resorted to just re-reading the final year's worth of papers every day for the rest of my life with the silent hope that it'll one day return. I haven't much else to do. here's no rain, can't make it rain even if I wanted to, and nothing ever happens here."
Right off the bat you find a fault with his logic, "Doesn't that get boring after a while? I'm assuming you've read these articles forty-nine times over already?"
Another croak is let out, he turns the page, "Fiftieth times the charm, stranger. There happens to be so many days in a single year, that after reading the same papers a dozen times over, you can still forget or overlook some stuff that can become a gift to you the year later when you re-read again. For example, just yesterday I stumbled across a small classified ad requesting for a flapper in the nearby area, it was charming and I had a chuckle to myself. Who knows how many more things I may have missed out on? It's the little things, the little things that brighten my life in this dead dystopia."
A) "Why did publication stop?"
B) "That's really deep, in that case I hope you find some more overlooked shit then."
C) "Why don't you just make more newspapers yourself? Shouldn't be that hard."
D) "Have you heard of the witch Baba Murkraga, by chance?"
