Think about it, isn't it a bit WEIRD that they made a 3-stage pikaclone in the same exact gen that Pikachu would be leaving the main cast? Isn't also a bit suspicious that the three stages also all look fairly similar, thus eliminating the potential for one to be TOO disliked compared to the others in the eyes of the general public?? Isn't it also ALSO weird how the seemingly entirely unnecessary middle stage has the newly-introduced evo condition that seemingly makes it a perfect candidate for evolving after acting as the "mascot shouldermon" for trainer???
Really, just think about it for a second.
